Shelby and her walker, plus Tim on the news???

Shelby and Mommy don't have much alone time, but Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for about 4 hours, 1 - 2 of those with her sleeping is "our" time (at least until the middle of May), and she's been working very hard on her walking, so we thought that we'd show off some pictures of her doing just that! She was supposed to get this walker for her Birthday, but apparently, her plan on when she was going to start walking was just not the same as Mommy's so she ended up getting it early. This is a hippo that "eats" her peek-a-blocks as she pushes it along and once she's walking, it turns into a ride on toy, cool huh?
Notice the way cool, hot pink, high top Chuck Taylors, she's always stylin', plus high tops are about the only type of shoe that wills stay on her foot for longer than 2 seconds! I know that she needs to be walking in bare feet, and usually she does, but her little toes are always so cold because without the shoes, the socks are off even quicker and the toes are in her mouth, getting wet and cold, it's a vicious cycle. It's a cold day (well, at least for here) at 45 with a wind chill of 35 - 40, so she's bundled up today! Looking at her, it's hard to believe she's only a little over 15 pounds. She ate a whole cereal bar this morning, the same as Emilia!!! We definitely don't have the same eating problems with her that we did with Emilia. They are kind of hard to see, but if you look VERY closely, you can see teeny tiny ponytails on the top of her head. She doesn't have much hair in the front, it mostly in the back, so they are kind of far back on her head, but too cute!!
She loves her toys and play area, but loves being out of her play area and chasing after anything and everything she's not supposed to have even more (have I told you all about her obsession with dog food????)!

This is completely off subject, but if anyone gets this before the national news this evening (Feb 15th), try to watch for the coverage of representative Charlie Norwood's funeral. I'm not sure how much national coverage it'll get, but the secret service is here, and Tim has been sequestered at the church since about 10:30 this morning for a 2 pm service, and they have news people down at the airport waiting for a jet from Andrews AF base. Anyway, the band is playing the memorial service and Tim is usually the 3rd or 4th trumpet in on the left hand side, third row back (should be the last row).
